Ournew fave place to stay in Kyoto. Perfect accommodation, newly built machiya style townhouse. The place was actually bigger than the impression we got from the pictures and was perfectly appointed. All the appliances were top of the line and new. All of the furniture was of excellent quality and in great condition. The kitchen was large for a Japanese house and had everything we needed. The beds were large and comfortable.
We loved the Japanese style clothes drying system in the bathroom, and the washing machine was new and easy to use. So no need to bring a lot of clothes. There were 3 great quality AC units in the house. Always a plus. Location- as good as it gets for us. It was lovely 3 minute walk to the local station, which is only one stop away from Kyoto station or 3 stop away from the Gion area. Finally, the host was very proactive and responded within minutes to my messages. Also very friendly and gracious. I absolutely will stay here next time I am in the Kyoto area.(Kyosuian Tofukuji/京粋庵 東福寺)
Amazing little peaceful spot down a quiet street, but still walking distance to all the main attractions. House was spotless and host was excellent. Best Airbnb I have ever had.

Great location near Kyoto station but in a nice quiet residential area. Spacious and had all the amenities that made it feel like home. Having washer and dryer was a huge life saver for us traveling with a toddler. Great hosts that checked in on us to make sure we were settled in fine. Would love to stay there again.
